2 Treatments To Get Rid of Open Pores [Permanently]

Open pores can be cured by following laser treatment or dermapen.

We will begin this article with a note: open and closed pores don’t exist. Neither wide pores or narrow pores. These terms are just an expression – even though they look like that. What you can do about open pores is clean them. By purifying your cells, pores will appear smaller.

In this article we will introduce you to two treatments that can transform your skin and make it look cleaner, toned and revitalized.

What are open pores?

Open pores are cells clogged with natural oil(sebum) or dirt. It’s more common for people with oily or mixed skin. Most affected areas are cheeks, nose, chin and forehead. Open pores are not medical problem, but aesthetics discomfort.

If you have oily skin you might be experiencing black heads, white heads or fuss filled pimples. This can affect your self-esteem and make you feel anxious or irritated. Thanks to technology advancement we can help you with your problem and restructure you skin.

What causes open pores?

There are several reasons why you might have open pores. Most times it’s a combination between them.

  • Increased production of sebum.
  • Genetics.
  • Exposure to skin.
  • Using cosmetics that are not suitable for your skin.
  • Decreased collagen production.
  • Thick hair follicles.
  • Hormonal imbalance.

What are the 2 most effective ways to make your pores appear smaller?

We strongly believe this condition can be treated with just 1 or 2 sessions at the clinic. Therapy depends always on your skin type and your skin needs. Please, when you decide to undergo a professional therapy, schedule an appointment for consultation. Your dermatologist/aesthetician will design for your personalized course of treatments.

Below are the most common and most effective ones.

1. CO2 Laser Fractional Resurfacing – for light skin types

This treatment restructures your skin. Its light goes deeply into the skin causing it to break down in order to grow new healthier skin. Specialist say that it has the power to give you permanent results. Especially if you do follow ups with Carbon Laser Peel, SilkPeel or Enzyme Oxygenated Facial – depending on your skin needs.

Note: CO2 Fractional Laser is not suitable for dark skins. Laser can cause pigmentation when exposed to sun light. Please, consult your dermatologist or aesthetician about what treatment is going to work for your skin.

2. Microneedling (DermaPen) – for all skin types

Dermapen is great treatment for all types of skins because it doesn’t use light, but needles. The device “injects” vitamins and antioxidants into your skin stimulating collagen production. This treatment gives your skin fresh and healthy look. The result is: smaller looking pores free of impurities. The micro damages it makes to your skin boost healing and pushes out dead skin.

3. Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are popular treatments for follow up. As a main treatment they lead to slow results. No matter of your skin type you would have to wait months to see results. This fact makes them even more expensive than choosing CO2 Laser or Dermapen.

As a follow up after CO2 or Dermapen you can do: Laser Carbon Peel, Silk Peel, Enzyme Oxygenated Facial.

These peels will maintain your results from CO2 or Dermapen.

Accompanying Treatment – PRP

No matter if your skin is suitable for CO2 Fractional Resurfacing or Dermapen, PRP is great add-on to your therapy. It speeds up collagen production and enhaces the effect of the main treatment. It’s also completely natural. Platelets are injected into your skin to heal your cells and rejuvenate them.

Note: PRP itself have minimum affect over open pores. It’s main purpose is to reverse anti-aging process or help with scars.
